PULSE: Burns: Assessment and Treatment

Burn management has consistently been one of the most controversial topics in all of emergency care. Every year, nearly 1 million people require treatment for burn injuries in the United States. Add to that an increased terrorism threat in the United States, and it can be assumed that there will also be an increase in the number of burn-related injuries. This course is designed to provide the emergency responder with the knowledge needed to effectively and safely assess and manage patients with various burn-related injuries.
