PULSE: Diabetic Emergencies
EDA:464-0508

This course discusses diabetes mellitus, including basic pathophysiology, acute complications, and long-term complications. Emergency treatment for common diabetic emergencies are addressed, including the conscious hypoglycemic, unconscious hypoglycemic, and unconscious hyperglycemic in diabetic ketoacidosis. Emerging therapies for the management of diabetes are also discussed.
